1838, Yasuda Zenjiro was born as lower-class samurai’s son.
If met a high-class samurai , his father most kneel on the ground.
Zenjiro hated doing it.

His idea was strongly opposed by the father.
1856, He ran away from home and worked for grocery store in Edo.
He worked seriously, but it’s not easy to save money.
He lay in a stock of dried cuttlefish at Yokohama, and it sell in Edo.
1864, he started money-exchange business in Edo.
1867, the samurai’s time was over.
1880, he set up the Yasuda Bank and the Yasuda Mutual Life Insurance Company, which he organized into a zaibatsu holding company.
1893, the Yasuda zaibatsu absorbed the Tokyo Fire Insurance Company.
He has succeeded, but he lived an austere life.
In his later years, he donated the Yasuda Auditorium to the Tokyo Imperial University and the Hibiya Kokaido hall.
1921,he was assassinated to an ultra-nationalist.
1966, Yasuda Zenjiro’s great-grandchild was in London.

She met a musician there and fell in love.
