77.masked Hero

Today, I write about “masked Hero.”
1970s , the Manga “Tiger Mask” was published in Japan.
“Tiger Mask” was a feared heel wrestler in America who was extremely vicious in the ring.
His real name was “Date Naoto .”
He was brought up in an orphanage.
He had contributed to the orphanage.
He went back to Japan and changed to a heroic wrestler for the children of orphanage.
Of course, this is a fiction.
Children of those days were enthusiastic about “Tiger Mask.”
So am I.

2010, Japan was dull.
The orphanage in Japan were always in a difficult position financially.
25 December 2010, in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, a child guidance center was visited by someone leaving ten 30,000-yen (about US$360) backpacks, five black backpacks wrapped with blue ribbons, and five red backpacks wrapped with pink ribbons.
A card attached to the bags simply said.
“Please use these backpacks for the children.”
“From Date Naoto.”

It was on the TV news.
The next day, Child guidance center all over Japan accepted contribution.
It was similarly written to the card.
“Please use contributions for the children.”
“From Date Naoto.”
Many contributors who introduced himself as “Date Naohito” realized boyhood dream.
And everybody was glad.
Even now, the contribution from “Date Naoto” continues.

March 2011, The Great East Japan Earthquake.
Several days after, I went to the elementary school, in order to look for my friend.
I heard helicopter’s sound from the direction of the sea.
The camouflaged helicopter landed in playground.
Many foods and drinking water were presented from the United States.
They seemed to be “Supermen.”
We were deeply grateful.

We can speak English little.
So am I. (I am using translation software.)
Several women who came from the Philippines are in my town.
They married Japanese people and were naturalized.
Their English conversation was very useful at that time.
They told disaster victims’ request to “supermen.”
They were thanked from the disaster victim.

2013, Philippines typhoon.
I wish the “heroes” all over the world gathers to the Philippines.
