Today, I write about “Kendo”.
“Kendo” is Japanese original sports.
It is just samurai’s training.
The swordsman fights with a “Shinai” (sword of a bamboo) instead of a sword.
It resembles fencing.
However, an offensive kind is not only a pass.
Offensive kind is the following.
“Men” (attack to a head), “Do” (attack to an abdomen), “Kote” (attack to arm ), “Tsuki” (attack like fencing) The upper half of the body is equipped with protector.
The Japan Kendo Championships was held from Nov.3.
All the people that are looking feel the feeling of tension.
The match is a moment.
A champion is a 34-year-old policeman.
The world championship of kendo is held every 3 years.
I want kendo to be only Japan’s game.
I do not want kendo to become like judo or sumo.
However, a strong foreigner’s samurai will appear someday.
